In the song 'Escape', there is a line that says "If you like pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain."
This is my 2015 Challenge to take a photo a day according to the song titles provided by Elements Village in the "365 and 52 in 2015 Photo Challenge."

#54 - Come Fly With Me - 23 Feb
Standing on the edge of this 'cliff' all I could think was come fly with me and let's see where we end up!

#53 - Freestyle - 22 Feb
My brother, Rory, and I, were playing around with long exposures. I was attempting to write words with a torch and they actually came out really nicely! This, however, is one of the failed attempts so I decided to just freestyle instead.

#52 - The Plastic Age - 21 Feb
Appropriate that this is for 21 Feb, because this is clearly from a 21st party I went to. Just loved the plastic age champagne bottle.

#51 - A Month of Sundays - 20 Feb
We used to spend every Sunday night with my granny and grandpa. This was when we scattered my granny's ashes who passed away just 26 months after my grandpa. How I wish I could just have a month of Sundays with them.

#47 - Nightshift - 16 Feb
This photo was taken while sitting outside during my nightshift at the Boarding House. I loved the way the moon was giving off so much light to my surroundings! Excuse the cellphone quality, but I did not have my camera.

#44 - Still the One - 13 Feb
This photo was taken way back in 2011. This man (boy at the time) is still the one I love and can strike a pose with anytime!

#43 - You Make Me Feel Like Dancing - 12 Feb
Malcolm, you make me feel like dancing. We used to strike this pose often. This one occasion was when we were off to a high school dance (2011)!

#42 - Cheeseburger in Paradise - 11 Feb
This is not exactly a cheeseburger in paradise, but it is an incredible creation by my mom and myself. Cupcakes stuck into a polystyrene ball with toothpicks, decorated by real flowers and paper leaves.

#41 - Roam - 10 Feb
This photo is from July 2014 in The Kruger National Park. A herd of buffalo appeared from behind the bushes and just decided to roam across the road behind us. Unreal.

#40 - Clocks - 9 Feb
These beautiful clocks were on a wall in the bathroom at La Romantica, Stellenbosch. I managed to capture them in the mirror.

#39 - Street Life - 8 Feb
In one of my many moments of the street life I notice that my car was about to clock 58000km so I stopped to take a photo...
... And then it did! An oddly satisfying moment to capture.

#38 - Leave the Pieces - 7 Feb
This is a piece of art of a grade 3 (9 year old). It looks like a giant puzzle. One that I would never want to break apart, but rather leave the pieces right there in this perfect arrangement.

#37 - Get Smart Theme - 6 Feb
Here we see this little munshkin seemingly trying to get smart by sitting on the iPad...
... But it was all too overwhelming and a nap seemed like the better option!

#36 - Black, White and Blue - 5 Feb
These Nemos (clown fish) are gorgeous with their orange, black, white and blue colours. They may not have blue on them, but the blue light in this tank gives their white stripes a blue tint, which I find mesmerizing.

#35 - Gold - 4 Feb
This is my precious Fudgy, she is worth more than gold to me. And her eyes have the most gorgeous golden brown colour.

#34 - Standing on Higher Ground - 3 Feb
This is an extremely old photo of a team building exercise on a youth camp. They finally managed to get the top person standing on higher ground... or at least people!

#33 - Stray Paper - 2 Feb
I found this writing on a stray paper in the common room. The girls have to leave food comments about each meal at the boarding house. I'm not sure what doUnuts are, but at least they were happy about them!

#32 - For Your Eyes Only - 1 Feb
Somehow these plants at the Two Ocean Aquarium had a mystical, secretive feel, and the way they danced in the water was as if to say "We are for your eyes only"

#31 - If I Didn't Have You - 31 Jan
Malcolm van Aardt, if I didn't have you, my life would be incomplete. And without the nature of this world I would not be reminded every day that God loves us and is bigger than anything we may face.

#30 - Days Like These - 30 Jan
These are just a few of the games that my boyfriend and I played over the Valentines weekend. It is days like these that I wish the element of time did not exist.

#29 - Scarborough Fair - 29 Jan
The Scarborough fair is about a man who asks a woman to do impossible tasks before he takes her back. Well an impossible task I encounter often is trying to get these three men to behave when they are together! From left to right: Rod Currin (dad), Rory Currin (brother) and Malcolm van Aardt (boyfriend).

#27 - House of the Rising Sun - 27 Jan
That spot in the middle of the water is a jetty. I would name that specific spot the house of the rising sun. Being surrounded by water and pure beauty in nature!

#26 - Jack and Jill - 26 Jan
I know I didn't take this photo (unless you pretend the yellow rope is a selfie stick!), but it is just so appropriate. The only possible caption for this photo is "Jack and Jill went up the hill." This is my boyfriend, Malcolm and I hiking together.

#25 - She's a Beauty - 25 Jan
I am not sure whether this is a male or female, but either way he/she's a beauty! Absolutely love the gracefulness and tranquility of a turtle floating through the water!

#24 - Jet Airliner - 24 Jan
This was my first time on a jet airliner (it was just a normal Mango plane), but the excitement in this picture is indescribable. I had my first flight at 21 and I am so fortunate that I can remember every single second of it!

#23 - Dry as a Bone - 23 Jan
Hanging out our hiking boots to get them to air out and be as dry as a bone for our hike back down that mountain the following day!

#21 - Nothing Ever Goes As Planned - 21 Jan
This fire has broken out a few hours ago and has just grown in size and brightness. In terms of fires; "nothing ever goes as planned" (Here's to hoping the fire does not head towards us tonight!)

#19 - Shake it Out - 19 Jan
I really struggled with today's song, so here is an old photo of mine which is helping me to just "shake it out" about not having such a fitting photo. However, just as the water drop falls back into the water, so will today fall into my past.

#18 - Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head - 18 Jan
My dear friends Dale (above) and Jandré (below), having a blast in the pool. On this hot day they were creating splashes for me so that I could sing "Raindrops keep falling on my head". What a lovely afternoon!

#16 - The Sign - 16 Jan
My gorgeous fellow BHAs (Boarding House Assistants). We have bonded so much in just one week and here they are posing at "the sign" on one of our adventure walks! Susan, Anke and Bernita you rock!

#15 - Birds of a Feather - 15 Jan
These two photos are actually from a camp I went on last year, but couldn't resist posting them for today's "birds of a feather". I was at first disappointed when the child stepped into this perfect shot of the peacock, but now looking back at it I'm glad to be able to see the scale of this beauty!

#14 - Down under - 14 Jan
Looking at the beautiful Helderberg mountain and then looking "down under" at the dam that has been drained... Two very contrasting views.
